Tetsu-Bishi
![]() Tetsu-bishi, otherwise known as caltrops, were weapons used mostly to prevent pursuit. They were curious looking weapons that had four points that went out at such an angle that one point was always pointing up. While a ninja was running away, tetsu-bishi would be left behind, and whoever gave chase would find themselves in severe pain and unable to continue. They might also find themselves dead, for the tips of the tetsu-bishi were sometimes dipped in poison. While not the best object to be used as a throwing weapon, this might be done as a last resort. These would usually only be used if a ninja had been discovered.
