     One of the many unusual weapons that the ninja used was the kusarigama.  This weapon, designed out of farming tools, was made with a kama, or sickle-like weapon, and a weighted chain.  The kama was used to block the opponent's weapon, and you attacked using a slashing movements that could cause a lot of damage per hit; sometimes even more than a sword because the cuts sliced deeply inward.  It could also be flung out on the chain to have a greater reach.  The chain could be thrown at the opponent or the opponent’s weapon to trap them.  While encompassed in chains, the ninja could then easily kill them with the kama.  All in all, a very dangerous weapon.
