Throwing Spikes

Throwing spikes were a weapon similar in size to throwing knives, but the way they went through the air and hit their target was more akin to darts shot from a blowgun.  They were more accurate than throwing knives, and the chance of hitting the target with the point was almost guaranteed, but the complicated throwing method made them much more difficult to use.  They also couldn't be thrown as quickly.  They were extremely dangerous to the person being targeted, however, because they would penetrate deep into the body.  Also, they were much harder to block than throwing knives.  This was because you would only be able to see a dot about 1/4 of an inch across when it was thrown at you.  If used at night, it would be almost impossible to block.
